The American law firm O'Melveny & Myers employs a design specialist whose task is to work with architects and interior designers all over the world, wherever the firm decides to establish or expand their practice. She helps them shape the look of the offices to O'MMs professional standards. In June 1999 the specialist arrived in Shanghai to investigate the possibility of expanding their office there. They decided on a new one, and with its 900 square meters, they became the largest international law firm in Shanghai.
From this cooperation between the architect and O'MMs specialist, a highly effective space with a vision for the future emerged. It integrates design, technology and art using Italian marble flooring, birds eye maple veneer panels and woven wire mesh.
